What does small group personal training mean?

Small group training is an affordable way to gain expert supervision and structure with a little bit of socializing thrown in. One on One training can become expensive for some people and training by yourself can become boring, risky or stale. In the Workshed a combination of supervision, programming and a will to learn gets all the results without the cost

Does everyone do the same routine together?

The Routines are pre-written on the blackboards within the facility, we have over 50 different circuits that can be performed for training and/or timed for testing progress. Every session is scaled to meet the level of the individual.

What does a session involve?

The session involves a comprehensive preparation phase including, foam rolling, warm up drills, balance, stability, mobility and core activation. Then the client will complete two circuits that incorporate Strength and cardio based activities/ We do Cardio whilst we are strength training and vice versa. The sessions conclude with a good stretch and a few core exercises.

Am I too old or unfit to train at The WorkShed?

There’s no such thing as being too old or too unfit.* My Exercise Coach workouts focus on intensity rather then duration or quality over quantity. The great thing about intensity is that it can be increased or decreased based on your current fitness level.
Even though your 100% effort may not be the same as someone else’s, the positive effects are the same. Giving your best effort is the key to getting the most out our programs.

That means by doing the program to the best of your abilities, you’ll burn fat, increase stremgth and increase your fitness level - no matter your age.

• It’s always a good idea to consolute a doctor for specific medical advice before beginning any new exercise routine.

What if I can’t get to a session?

The system allows for sessions missed to be made up that week, because we will cap our membership, there will never be overcrowded, we average approx. 5-7 members at any one time training so there is plenty of opportunity to make up sessions

What does a flexible start time mean?

Flexible times (staggered starts) means you can turn up any time within the schedule. The session for you starts when you get through the door, this way there are very few reasons to not get your training done.

 How soon will I start to get results?

People start to feel results within a week or two, more energy, strength, fitness etc. however it's realistic to expect some visual changes (fat loss, definition etc.) after 4-6 weeks.

What are the costs?

Costs are $60.00 per week for unlimited sessions or $45.00 per week for 2 sessions. Discounts are 10% off if you pay for 10 weeks upfront and 20% if you join with a friend.
