Prepare yourself to conquer even the toughest obstacles in True Grit. Rob Derbyshire and other qualified personal trainers in The Workshed will walk you through timed workouts and programs designed to challenge and prepare you for the True Grit race.

You don’t need to be an elite athlete to finish True Grit , but that doesn't give you an excuse not to train. We want to make sure you’re happy with your finishing time and are prepared to help your mates out when needed.

MILITARY INSPIRED OBSTACLE CHALLENGE

Across natural terrain this 10-12km course has 30+ obstacles.

The obstacle course has been designed to test your mental resolve and stamina, with an emphasis on tackling obstacles, not running a marathon.

Functional Training

Functional movements in the form of push, pull, twist, lunge, squat, bend make it easier to tackle everyday tasks and challenges.

Super Saturday Spartan Sessions

Every training session in The Workshed improves strength, power and stamina. Plus our new Super Saturday Spartan Sessions are longer timed workouts replicating hurdles and challenges found in many popular obstacle races. 

This functional training workout is an indoor and outdoor obstacle course using plyometric boxes, weighted tyres, sleds, ropes and of course running. It is a great way to physically and mentally prepare for the many obstacles that make up True Grit.
